The video introduces the project ‘Your OPEN experience’ as part of 'Olafur Eliasson: OPEN', the first major solo exhibition of Olafur in Los Angeles. Developed by Joe Dumit and Studio Olafur Eliasson as part of Experimenting, Experiencing, Reflecting (EER), it encouraged visitors to the exhibition to consider what they bring with them to the exhibition – their expectations, memories, thoughts, and emotions. Using a specially developed app, visitors to the exhibition were invited to experiment, experience, and reflect based on a series of short prompts or proposals, and to contribute their ideas for engaging with the artworks. The initial prompts were developed by Joe and the SOE team, and participants could submit their own prompts to the site for others to try out. The accumulation of prompts online led to chains of prompts linking one visitor to the next.
