In his Berlin studio, Eliasson talks about how drawing helps him think through ideas and see into the future of a project. On the occasion of his solo exhibition ‘WASSERfarben’ (WATERcolours) at Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich in summer 2018, he discusses the importance of both successful and unsuccessful sketches, as well as the role chance and uncertainty play in the making of his watercolours, using melting ice.
